You might run into the following problems when using GAMEPOT. Find out causes and possible solutions.

User ID transfer

I want to transfer the social account linked to my user ID to another user ID.

Causes

Solution

To resolve the issue:

  1. Secure the user ID to be transferred and the user ID to receive the transfer.
  2. Navigate to Member > List from the GAMEPOT dashboard.
  3. Search for the user ID to be transferred, then click the user ID to proceed to the details page.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click the [Account integration] tab, then click the settings icon for the social ID you wish to transfer.
  5. In the Change integration information pop-up window, enter the receiving user ID and click [Change].
    • Once the change is complete, the social account information will disappear from that user ID.
  6. Navigate to Member > List from the GAMEPOT dashboard.
  7. Search for the user ID that received the transfer, then click the user ID to go to the details page.
  8. Click the [Account integration] tab at the bottom of the page and check if the transferred social ID exists.

  9. Log out of the client logged in with the user ID you transferred from, and then login again.

Restore user ID

I want to restore a deleted user ID.

Causes

Solution

To resolve the issue:

  1. Access the GAMEPOT dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Member > List.
  3. Click the user ID to go to the details page.
  4. Click [Restore member] and then click [OK] when the pop-up window appears.
  5. If the user has canceled their membership and subsequently received a new user ID using the same social account, proceed with the Transfer user ID process after completing the steps above.

Social login error

Social login works fine for APKs I install myself, but when I download from the store and log in with social login, I can't log in.

Causes

An error occurs if app signing is enabled in Google Developer Console and the keystore has been changed.

Solution

To resolve the issue:

  1. Navigate to Google Developer Console > Settings > App Integrity.
  2. If you are using Google login, add the SHA-1 value to the Firebase console.
    • When using the 3.0 SDK, add the SHA-1 certificate digital fingerprint value in Google Cloud Console > APIs & Services > Credentials > OAuth 2.0 Client IDs > Android Client.
  3. When using Facebook login, add the keyhash of the above SHA-1 value to the Facebook console.

5 failed password attempts

I can't log in to my dashboard admin account due to 5 failed passwords.

Causes

If you fail to log in to your admin account more than five times, you'll need to reset your password.

Solution

Proceed with password reset as follows:

  1. Log in with the admin account in the NAVER Cloud Platform console, and then click the Services > Gaming > GAMEPOT menu.
  2. Select the checkbox of the dashboard to reset password for.

  3. Click the Manage project > Reset password menu.
  4. When the admin password reset window appears, enter the email address, and then click [Reset].
  5. After checking the password reset email sent to your address, proceed with resetting your password.
