You might run into the following problems when using IPsec VPN. Find out causes and possible solutions.
IPsec VPN communication error
An IPsec VPN communication error occurs.
Cause
- Your network setting has a problem.
- The Pre-shared Key doesn't match.
- Your IPsec tunnel setting has a problem.
Solution
- When setting up the .remote/local range, make sure to set the subnet for the phase 2 range correctly on both sides.
IPsec VPN Gateway creation error
Nothing appears in the IPsec VPN vendor when I create an IPsec VPN Gateway.
Cause
No Virtual Private Gateway Group has been created.
Solution
Create a Virtual Private Gateway Group. For more information on how to create Virtual Private Gateway Group, see Create Virtual Private Gateway in the VPC guide.
