    Adding and managing custom image quality settings describes how to add a custom image quality setting, change the default HLS setting for an added custom image quality setting, and remove a custom image quality setting.

    Add custom image quality settings

    If a separate image quality setting is required in addition to the system image quality setting, a custom image quality setting can be added.
    The following describes how to add an image quality setting.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Media > Live Station menus, in that order.
    3. Click Quality Management > Quality Setting menu in order.
    4. Click the [Add image quality settings] button.
    5. Enter the name for the custom image quality to be created, and configure the image quality.
      • The image quality setting name can only be entered using a combination of English letters, numbers, and -.
      • Click i-livestation_minus/i-livestation_plus to set the number of image qualities to configure for the custom image quality.
        • You can set a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4.
      • Click the [Select] button, then in the image quality setting popup window that appears, select the image quality and click the [OK] button.
    6. Click the [Next] button.
    7. After specifying the detailed settings for the custom image quality, click the [Next] button.
      • HLS streaming settings: select between HLS and Low Latency HLS.
        • If HLS is selected, set the Segment Duration and Segment Count.
        • If Low Latency HLS is selected, the Target delay is fixed at 3 seconds.
      • HLS ID3 Timed Metadata settings: set whether to insert ID3 timed metadata in HLS TS files
        • If insert is set, the insert frequency of timed metadata is fixed at 1 second.
    8. Check the configuration, and then click the [Add Image Quality Settings] button.

    Change default HLS settings

    To change the HLS setting for a custom image quality, follow these steps:

    Caution

    When changing the settings, streaming of all broadcasts using the corresponding image quality setting is stopped and then restarted. To avoid this, change the image quality setting after all broadcasts that used the corresponding image quality setting are finished.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Media > Live Station menus, in that order.
    3. Click Quality Management > Quality Setting menu in order.
    4. Click the image quality setting of the HLS settings you want to change, then click the [Change default HLS settings] button.
    5. After changing the settings, click the [Edit default HLS segment settings] button.
      • The changes to the selected image quality setting will be reflected in all channels using the setting.

    Remove custom image quality settings

    The following describes how to remove a custom image quality setting.

    Note

    You cannot remove the quality settings that are in use on the channel. To remove an image quality setting in use, first terminate the channel that is using the setting. (Refer to Terminate channel)

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Media > Live Station menus, in that order.
    3. Click Quality Management > Quality Setting menu in order.
    4. In the list of image quality settings, click to select the image quality setting you want to delete, and then click the [Delete Settings] button.
    5. In the custom image quality settings deletion pop-up window, click the [Delete] button.
      • The selected image quality settings will be removed from the list.
