Content analysis (V2 player-only metric)

Available in Classic and VPC

In content analysis, you can review and analyze overall insights about the content based on various metrics collected through the player, such as video stats, viewing time, completion rate, and drop-off points.

To view the indicators related to content analysis:

  1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to Menu > All Services > Media > Video Player Enhancement.
  2. Click Media Analytics.
  3. Click [Go to MEDIA ANALYTICS] at the top of the interface.
  4. Log in with the admin account ID and password.
  5. Click Analyze contents.
  6. Select and click the submenu you want to check.

Content video stats

You can view automatically analyzed data based on video stats by content.

The following are detailed collection criteria for indicators:

Item Description
Collection target The number of successful playbacks by content and total playback time
How to use
  • Playback frequency and user viewing time by content.
  • Content performance and popularity are evaluated and contents are optimized.

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save frequently used filter settings as custom filters.
      1. Set the filters as you want.
      2. Click Filter > [Save current filter selection].
      3. Enter a name and then save.
    • Initialize: To clear all filters, click Initialize filters.
  • Save collected data: You can view individually collected data based on the criteria in the list at the bottom of the interface. To save the data locally, click i-vpe_download.

Content viewing time

It is measured by comparing the average viewing time per content with the average length of the content.

Item Description
Collection target Average viewing time per content with the average length of the content.
Aggregation criteria
  • Average viewing time: Total playback time divided by the number of successful plays.
  • Average length of contents: Total length of played contents on average

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save frequently used filter settings as custom filters.
      1. Set the filters as you want.
      2. Click Filter > [Save current filter selection].
      3. Enter a name and then save.

Content completion rate

It measures the average viewing progress and playback completion rate of the content.

Item Description
Collection target Average viewing progress and playback completion rate of the content.
Aggregation criteria
  • Average viewing progress rate: The point (%) in the content that viewers have watched on average
  • Playback completion rate: Ratio of sessions with more than 95% content viewed
  • Not applied to live streaming

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save frequently used filter settings as custom filters.
      1. Set the filters as you want.
      2. Click Filter > [Save current filter selection].
      3. Enter a name and then save.

Drop-off section

It measures the point at which viewers on average drop off from the content.

Collection target Average drop-off point within the content
Aggregation criteria
  • Drop-off point: The position within the content where viewers stop playback or leave the page
  • Average drop-off position within the content relative to its total length (expressed as a percentage)

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: You can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the interface.
    • Custom: You can save frequently used filter settings as custom filters.
      1. Set the filters as you want.
      2. Click Filter > [Save current filter selection].
      3. Enter a name and then save.
