Metadata

Available in Classic and VPC

You can configure metadata for advanced search on the folders (files) managed by Media Connect Center at Metadata under Media Connect Center service preferences. There are meta data sets provided by default from Media Connect Center, but we also provide the metadata items such as text field, text area, date selector (one day), date selector (period), and dropdown menu, so the admins can configure the metadata themselves to suit their needs. You will be able to use the advanced search conditions configured in Metadata in Content pool's content search.

Set metadata

You can set metadata. Configured metadata can be used by clicking View more search conditions in the advanced search page which appears when you click in the Content pool or Bucket folder page.

The following describes how to configure metadata.

1. Click the Service preferences > Metadata menu at the left side of the screen.
2. Click the [File security] tab menu.
3. Click the [+] button at the right side of the metadata item you want to configure.
   
   • Text field: Select if you want to add text field as an advanced search condition
   • Text area: Select if you want to add text area as an advanced search condition
   • Date selector (one day): Select if you want to add date as an advanced search condition
   • Date selector (period): Select if you want to add period as an advanced search condition
   • Dropdown menu: Select if you want to add dropdown menu which allows selection among options as an advanced search condition
4. Enter any necessary information.
   • Text field, text area, date selector (one day), date selector (period)
     • Name: Name of the search condition
     • Applicable content type: Select the type of content file to search
   • Dropdown menu
     • Name: Name of the search condition
     • Applicable content type: Select the type of content file to search
     • Option details: Enter the option item, and click the [+] button to add
5. Click the [OK] button.
6. Perform additional tasks in the metadata list if necessary.
   • : Click if you want to add new metadata by copying the metadata configuration value
   • : Click if you want to edit the metadata
   • : Click if you want to delete the metadata
7. If you would like to only view the metadata you want by searching, then set the status and applicable content type at the top of the screen and click the [Search] button.
