    Media Connect Center VOD2LIVE channel provides a feature to use VOD2LIVE (transmit live stream easily using video recorded in advance) through NAVER Cloud Platform's Live Station. Through Live Station, scheduled transmission within 14 days from the current time is possible, and multiple files, up to 24 hours, can be transmitted. You can check the live transmission status in progress at a glance and manage the operation efficiently.

    VOD2LIVE channel menu is a feature that's only available by linking with NAVER Cloud Platform's Live Station. Previously, managing VOD2LIVE channels had to be done through Live Station API. Now you can perform the task at once in Media Connect Center's VOD2LIVE channel easily and conveniently through the linkage.

    Caution
    • In order to link with Live Station, you must be using Live Station. Additional fees apply when you request subscription to Live Station. For the introduction on Live Station and details about its pricing plans, refer to the Service > Media > Live Station menu in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.
    • Live Station > Live channel is not displayed on the Media Connect Center screen if it's not linked to Live Station.

    When you link Live Station, Object Storage buckets used by Live Station will be managed after importing them to Media Connect Center. The following describes how to set up linkage with Live Station.

    1. Click the Live Station > Link Live Station menu at the left side of the screen.

    2. When the Link Live Station pop-up window appears, check the details, and then click the [Link now] button.
    3. When the Link Live Station pop-up window appears, check the list of buckets to be linked, and then click the [Confirm] button.
    4. After linking, check the Live channel, Simultaneous transmission channel, and VOD2LIVE channel menus created.

    VOD2LIVE channel list

    You can view the list of VOD2LIVE channels and details of each channel in VOD2LIVE channel list. It's linked to Live Station, so you can terminate channels as you could using Live Station from NAVER Cloud Platform API, as well as create a new channel.
    Please note that Media Connect Center's channel list page and guide (usage instruction) correspond to Live Station as below.

    View the list of VOD2LIVE channels and their details

    You can view the list of VOD2LIVE channels or their details, or set the information for scheduled transmissions. The information that can be seen from VOD2LIVE channel list is linked data from Live Station, and the setting result from VOD2LIVE channel list is reflected to Live Station as well.
    The following describes how to view the list of VOD2LIVE channels or their details, or to set information related to scheduled transmission.

    1. Click the Live Station > VOD2LIVE channel menu at the left side of the screen.
    2. When the VOD2LIVE channel list appears, check the required information.

    • [Create channel] button: click to create a channel
    1. Click the channel whose details you want to view.
    2. Check or set the details which appear on the right side of the screen.
    • Live channel details tab menu: view and set the Live channel's properties
      • [Channel information] button: click to view the channel ID, channel status, type, and the date of scheduled transmission
      • [VOD file] button: click to see the VOD files scheduled to transmit and their transmission order
      • [Other information] button: click to view the linked CDN, image quality set, and date the channel was created
      • [Service URL] button: click to see the URLs by image quality set
      • [Thumbnail URL] button: click to see the URLs of the original, and thumbnails of 100 px, 360 px, and 720 px
    1. If you would like to only view the VOD2LIVE channels you want by searching, then set the channel name, status, and image quality setting at the top of the screen and click the [Search] button.
    Caution

    The list is refreshed to the latest version when you click the [Reset] button.

    Create VOD2LIVE channel

    You can create new VOD2LIVE channels and add them. The creation result will be reflected to the linked Live Station API as well.
    The following describes how to create a VOD2LIVE channel.

    1. Click the Live Station > VOD2LIVE channel menu at the left side of the screen.
    2. Click the [Create channel] button.
    3. Enter the necessary information, and then click the [Save] button.

    There are 4 VOD2LIVE channel statuses. The following explains each status.

    • In creation: The channel is in the process of being created, but it's not created yet.
    • Ready: This is the ready status without any VOD video source input to transmit. You can add the scheduled transmission date and VOD videos after creating a channel.
    • Ready for scheduled transmission: This is a status where you've created a channel and added scheduled transmission dates and VOD videos.
    • Steaming: A broadcast is on air, working normally through the channel that was created. Click the monitoring button to check the stream.

    Edit VOD2LIVE channel

    You can edit a VOD2LIVE channel's settings. The result of the edit will be reflected to the linked Live Station API as well. The following describes how to edit a VOD2LIVE channel.

    1. Click the Live Station > VOD2LIVE channel menu at the left side of the screen.
    2. Select the VOD2LIVE channel to edit, and then click the [Edit channel] button.
    3. Enter the necessary information, and then click the [Save] button.
    Caution
    • You can only edit channels in Ready or Stopped status. You can't edit channels on air. Editing should be done after stopping the stream in progress.

    Register VOD2LIVE scheduled transmission

    You can add a date for scheduled transmission and VOD videos to transmit on the VOD2LIVE channel. The settings result will be reflected to the linked Live Station API as well. The following describes how to register scheduled transmission on a VOD2LIVE channel.

    1. Click the Live Station > VOD2LIVE channel menu at the left side of the screen.
    2. Select a channel, and click the [Register] button.
    3. When the Register scheduled transmission screen appears, specify the [Scheduled transmission date].
    4. Click the [Add files] button to specify VOD videos to transmit.
    5. You can change the order of the VOD files by dragging it.
    Caution
    • Make sure to register a scheduled transmission date and time, and VOD videos after creating a VOD2LIVE channel.
    • You can only edit scheduled transmission date/time and videos for the channels that are in the Ready status. You can't modify channels on air. Modification should be made after stopping the stream in progress.

    Terminate VOD2LIVE channel

    You can terminate VOD2LIVE channels. The termination result will be reflected to the linked Live Station API as well. The following describes how to delete a VOD2LIVE channel.

    1. Click the Live Station > VOD2LIVE channel menu at the left side of the screen.
    2. Select a channel to terminate, and then click the [Terminate channel] button.
    3. When the Terminate channel pop-up window appears, click the [Delete] button.
    Caution
    • You can only delete channels in Ready status. You can't delete channels on air. You must terminate the channel after stopping the stream in progress for deletion.
