You may encounter the following issues while using the NAS service. View the causes and solutions of problems and take proper action.
NAS data error during snapshot use
A problem has been detected with NAS data during snapshot use. The problem seems to be with data from two days ago.
Cause
Depending on your task environment, the cause of the problem varies.
Solution
Recover to the most recent snapshot based on when the problem occurred. There are two ways to recover your data.
-
Recover to a snapshot at that point in time (console feature)
If there are too many data deletions/changes to recover files one by one, recover to a specific point in time. When you recover data to a specific point in time, data updated after the point of recovery will also be lost. For information on how to recover snapshots, see Recover snapshots. -
Recovering deleted/changed objects (files)
If the deleted/changed data is still viewable, recover the object (file). On Linux, use the cp command to recover the snapshot file at that point in time.cp /thebat/.snapshot/{snapshot name}/thebat.txt /thebat/
Deleting a snapshot after the snapshot recovers
You recovered a snapshot from a specific time; all snapshots created since then have been deleted.
Cause
The specification is that if you recover a snapshot created at a certain point, all snapshots created after that snapshot will be deleted.
Solution
This is not an error, so you do not need to do anything.
Volume information is not exposed when snapshots are set
When you try to set a snapshot from the Snapshot menu, the volume information does not appear.
Cause
Only volumes set for snapshot from the Volume menu appear in the Snapshot menu.
Solution
To set a snapshot of a NAS volume, follow these steps:
- Click
> Services > Storage > NAS > Volume in the NAVER Cloud Platform console. - Select NAS volume and click [Volume settings] > Snapshot settings.
- When the snapshot setting screen appears, select Perform snapshot creation.
- If you set the snapshot auto-creation cycle, snapshots are automatically created according to the cycle.
- If you do not set the snapshot auto-creation cycle, you can create snapshots anytime from the Snapshot menu.
- Click the [OK] button.
Deleting snapshots
The snapshot was deleted because there were too many data changes.
Cause
If data changes are frequent and the quantity exceeds the snapshot applied rate (%), the snapshot space is secured by deleting the oldest snapshots. If data changes exceed the set snapshot allocation capacity, all previously created snapshots may be deleted.
Solution
Anticipate data changes and specify a capacity that will be sufficient for a specific period. For information on how to change the snapshot capacity, see Change snapshot settings.
