This document describes the features of the On-Premise Network menu option provided in a Neurocloud Region.
Create and delete On-Premise Networks
This section describes how to create and delete an On-Premise Network.
Create an On-Premise Network
You can logically create an On-Premise Network that communicates with a Neurocloud VPC.
To create an On-Premise Network:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud. - Navigate to On-Premise Network > On-Premise Network.
- Click [Create On-Premise Network].
- When the Create On-Premise Network interface appears, enter a name and a memo, and click [Create].
- In the confirmation popup, check the information entered and click [OK].
- The created On-Premise Network is added to the On-Premise Network list.
Delete an On-Premise Network
To delete an On-Premise Network:
You cannot delete an On-Premise Network that contains On-Premise Subnets. To delete an On-Premise Network, you must first delete its On-Premise Subnets.
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud. - Navigate to On-Premise Network > On-Premise Network.
- In the On-Premise Network list, select the On-Premise Network you want to delete and click [Request deletion].
- In the confirmation popup, check the information entered and click [OK].
- The selected On-Premise Network is deleted from the On-Premise Network list.
Create and delete an On-Premise Subnet
This section describes how to create and delete an On-Premise Subnet.
Create an On-Premise Subnet
You can create a subnet, which is a subdivided network segment within the On-Premise Network. The created subnet is set as a routing destination for the On-Premise Gateway.
To create an On-Premise Subnet:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud. - Navigate to On-Premise Network > On-Premise Subnet.
- Click [Create On Premise Subnet].
- When the Create On-Premise Subnet interface appears, enter the following information and click [Create].
- On-Premise Network name: Select the On-Premise Network in which you want to configure the subnet.
- On-Premise Subnet name: Enter a name of the subnet you want to create.
- IP address range: Enter the IP address range of the subnet you want to create.
- The IP address range must not overlap with any existing ranges within Neurocloud.. However, the default route (0.0.0.0/0) can be configured for each On-Premise Network.
- VPC and Subnet IP addresses are assigned by the client.
- Memo: Enter a memo related to the Subnet.
- In the confirmation popup, check the information entered and click [OK].
- The created On-Premise Subnet is added to the On-Premise Subnet list.
Delete an On-Premise Subnet
To delete an On-Premise Subnet:
You cannot delete an On-Premise Subnet that has route settings configured on the On-Premise Gateway. To delete such an on-premise subnet, you must first delete the routes settings configured on the On-Premise Gateway. For more information about deleting routes, see Delete On-Premise Gateway routes.
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud. - Navigate to On-Premise Network > On-Premise Subnet.
- In the On-Premise Subnet list, select the On-Premise Subnet you want to delete and click [Request deletion].
- In the confirmation popup, check the information entered and click [OK].
- The selected On-Premise Subnet is deleted from the On-Premise Subnet list.
Set On-Premise Gateway
You can learn how to create and delete an On-Premise Gateway and how to set routes for it.
Create an On-Premise Gateway
To create an On-Premise Gateway:
Before creating an On-Premise Gateway, you must set up VPC and Subnet in the Neurocloud Region. Go to Services > Networking > VPC to create VPCs and Subnets for the Neurocloud Region. For detailed instructions, see:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway. - On the On-Premise Gateway interface, click [Create On-Premise Gateway].
- When the Create On-Premise Gateway interface appears, select the VPC to which the On-Premise Gateway will belong, and click [Create].
- On-Premise Gateway name: Enter a unique name for the On-Premise Gateway.
- VPC: Select the VPC to which the On-Premise Gateway will belong.
- On-Premise Subnet: Select the Subnet on the On-Premise Network to be the destination of the created On-Premise Gateway.
- Memo: Enter a memo related to the Gateway.
- In the confirmation popup, check the information entered and click [OK].
- The created On-Premise Gateway is added to the On-Premise Gateway list.
Set On-Premise Gateway routes
To set a route in an On-Premise Gateway: You can set routes only after an On-Premise Gateway is created. If there is no On-Premise Gateway created, see Create an On-Premise Gateway.
If you have created an On-Premise Gateway, set the routing rules for sending and receiving traffic to and from the gateway.
Create On-Premise Gateway routes
To create an On-Premise Gateway route:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway. - On the On-Premise Gateway list, select the On-Premise Gateway for which to set the route, and click [Set On-Premise Gateway routes].
- When the Set On-Premise Gateway interface appears, enter the source and the destination, and click [Create].
- Source: Enter the source IP for the On-Premise Gateway.
- Destination: Select the destination for the On-Premise Gateway.
- Check the information entered and click [OK].
- The created route is added to the list on the Set On-Premise Gateway interface.
To enable communication between the Neurocloud VPC and On-Premise Network, you must add routing rules to the route table. Go to Services > Networking > VPC > Route Table and set the communication route with the On-Premise Gateway (OGW) as the target. For detailed instructions, see:
Delete On-Premise Gateway routes
To delete an On-Premise Gateway route:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway. - On the On-Premise Gateway list, select the On-Premise Gateway route you want to delete, and click [Set On-Premise Gateway routes].
- When the Set On-Premise Gateway interface appears, click [Delete] to the right of the route you want to remove from the list of created routes.
- Check that the route has been deleted from the list, and click [OK].
- The selected route is deleted from the list on the Set On-Premise Gateway interface.
Delete an On-Premise Gateway
To delete an On-Premise Gateway:
You cannot delete an On-Premise Gateway if network routes are configured for it. To delete such an on-premise gateway, you must first delete all data of the routes set as the target in the on-premise gateway route settings and the route table settings. For detailed instructions, see:
- In the VPC environment of the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway. - On the On-Premise Gateway list, select the On-Premise Gateway you want to delete and click [Delete].
- Once the Delete popup appears, click [Delete].
- The selected On-Premise Gateway is deleted from the On-Premise Gateway list.
