This document describes the features of the On-premise network menu option provided in a Neurocloud Region.

    Creating and deleting on-premise network

The following describes how to create or delete an on-premise network.

    Creating on-premise network

You can logically create an on-premise network that communicates with a Neurocloud VPC.
To create an on-premise network, do the following:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud.
    3. Click On Premise Network > On Premise Network.
    4. Click [Create on-premise network].
    5. When the Create on-premise network screen appears, enter a name and a note for the on-premise network to create and click [Create].
    6. On the pop-up window, check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The created on-premise network is added to the on-premise network list.

    Deleting on-premise network

To delete an on-premise network, do the following:

    Note

You cannot delete an on-premise network that has on-premise subnets. To delete such an on-premise network, first you need to delete its on-premise subnets.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud.
    3. Click On Premise Network > On Premise Network.
    4. On the on-premise network list, select the on-premise network to delete and click [Request deletion].
    5. On the pop-up window, check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The selected on-premise network is deleted from the on-premise network list.

    Creating and deleting on-premise subnet

The following describes how to create or delete an on-premise subnet.

    Creating on-premise subnet

You can create subnets, namely network bands inside an on-premise network. A created subnet is set as the routing destination of the on-premise gateway.
To create an on-premise subnet, do the following:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud.
    3. Click On Premise Network > On Premise Subnet.
    4. Click [Create on-premise subnet].
    5. When the Create on-premise subnet screen appears, enter the following information and click [Create].
      • On-premise network name: select the on-premise network for which to create a subnet.
      • On-premise subnet name: enter a name for the subnet to create.
      • IP address range: enter an IP address range for the subnet to create.
        • IP address ranges cannot overlap inside the Neurocloud. However, the default route (0.0.0.0/0) can be set for each on-premise network.
        • IP addresses of VPCs and subnets are assigned by the client.
      • Memo: enter a note related to the subnet.
    6. On the pop-up window, check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The created on-premise subnet is added to the on-premise subnet list.

    Deleting on-premise subnet

To delete an on-premise subnet, do the following:

    Note

You cannot delete an on-premise subnet with on-premise gateway and routes enabled. To delete such an on-premise subnet, first you need to delete the routes settings in the on-premise gateway. For more information on deleting routes, see Deleting on-premise gateway routes.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Hybrid & Private Cloud > Neurocloud.
    3. Click On Premise Network > On Premise Subnet.
    4. On the on-premise subnet list, select the on-premise subnet to delete and click [Request deletion].
    5. On the pop-up window, check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The selected on-premise subnet is deleted from the on-premise subnet list.

    Setting up on-premise gateway

The following describes how to create or delete an on-premise gateway and how to set routes in it.

    Creating on-premise gateway

To create an on-premise gateway, do the following:

    Note

Before creating an on-premise gateway, you need to set VPCs and subnets for the Neurocloud Region. Go to Services > Networking > VPC and create VPCs and subnets for the Neurocloud Region. You can refer to the following user guide:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway.
    3. On the On-premise gateway screen, click [Create on-premise gateway].
    4. When the Create on-premise gateway screen appears, select the VPC to assign the on-premise gateway to and click [Create].
      • On-premise gateway name: enter a unique name for the on-premise gateway.
      • VPC: select the VPC to assign the on-premise gateway to.
      • On-Premise Subnet: select the subnet in the on-premise network to set as the destination of the on-premise gateway to create.
      • Memo: enter a note related to the gateway.
    5. On the pop-up window, check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The created on-premise gateway is added to the on-premise gateway list.

    Setting on-premise gateway route

To set a route in an on-premise gateway, do the following: You can set routes only when there is a created on-premise gateway. If there is no on-premise gateway created, see Creating on-premise gateway.
If you have created an on-premise gateway, set the routing rules for sending and receiving traffic to and from the gateway.

    Creating on-premise gateway route

To create an on-premise gateway route, do the following:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway.
    3. On the on-premise gateway list, select the on-premise gateway for which to set the route, and click [Set on-premise gateway route].
    4. When the Set up on-premise gateway screen appears, enter the source and the destination and click [Create].
      • Source: enter the source IP address of the on-premise gateway.
      • Destination: enter the destination IP address of the on-premise gateway.
    5. Check the information entered and click [Confirm].
      • The created route is added to the list on the Set up on-premise gateway screen.
    Note

To enable communication between a Neurocloud VPC and an on-premise network, you need to add routing rules to the route table. Go to Services > Networking > VPC > Route Table and set the communication route with the on-premise gateway (OGW) as the target. You can refer to the following user guide:

    Deleting on-premise gateway route

To delete an on-premise gateway route, do the following:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway.
    3. On the on-premise gateway list, select the on-premise gateway whose route you want to delete, and click [Set on-premise gateway route].
    4. When the Set on-premise gateway route screen appears, go to the route list and click [Delete] to the right of the route to delete.
    5. Check that the route has been deleted from the list, and click [Confirm].
      • The selected route is deleted from the list on the Set up on-premise gateway screen.

    Deleting on-premise gateway

To delete an on-premise gateway, do the following:

    Note

You cannot delete an on-premise gateway with network routes enabled. To delete such an on-premise gateway, first you need to delete all data of the routes set as the target in the on-premise gateway route settings and the route table settings. You can refer to the following user guide:

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click Services > Networking > VPC > On Premise Gateway.
    3. On the on-premise gateway list, select the on-premise gateway to delete and click [Delete].
    4. Once the Delete pop-up window appears, click the [Delete] button.
      • The selected on-premise gateway is deleted from the on-premise gateway list.
