    You can manage the Search Engine cluster and add data nodes from the Cluster menu. You can access Kibana or change your Kibana access password. Also, you can change and manage the SSH access authentication key.

    Cluster page

    The basic description of the Cluster menu for using the Search Engine Service is as follows:

  • Cluster name: enter cluster name to search for the cluster
  • Filter: select the zone where the cluster is installed to filter the cluster
  • ⑤ Cluster listList of clusters being viewed

    Create cluster

    New clusters cannot be created in a classic environment after July 21, 2022. To create a cluster, use a VPC environment (refer to Create cluster (VPC)).

    View cluster information

    The following describes how to view the details of the created cluster.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Click on the target cluster to view the information.
      • Cluster name: name of the cluster
      • Data node type, manager node type: server type of each node
      • Number of nodes: number of nodes included in the cluster
      • Server status: node server status
      • Cluster status: cluster status (refer to Cluster status)
      • Elasticsearch version/version: Elasticsearch version installed on the cluster
      • Zone: zone where the cluster is installed
      • OS version: OS version installed on node server
      • Creation date and time: date and time the cluster was created
      • Manager node public IP: a public IP address that can be accessed from outside the manager node
      • Data node storage capacity: data node storage's total capacity
      • Connect to manager node using SSH: click the [Access guide] button to check how to connect to the manager node server using SSH (refer to Connect to manager node using SSH)
      • Manager node ACG, data node ACG: ACG set on each node
        • i-ses-window: go to ACG menu where you can set ACG rules
        • [View rules]: check the rules set in ACG
      • Elasticsearch Port: HTTP port for Elasticsearch
      • Kibana Port: Kibana access port
      • Cluster node list: click the [View details] button to check the node list and information included in the cluster
      • Authentication key: the authentication key to be used when connecting to the manager node using SSH

    Manage cluster

    You can add a data node to the cluster you created. You can easily change your Kibana access password and access Kibana.

    Add data node

    The following is how to add a data node to the cluster you created.

    Note
    • While adding a data node, cluster access is blocked for Elasticsearch installation and restart.
    • After completing adding data nodes, it may take several to several tens of minutes before they are reflected.
    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the target cluster.
    4. Click the [Manage cluster] button and then click Add data node.
    5. When the add data node pop-up window appears, click i-ses-plus or i-ses-minus to set the number of data nodes to add.
      • Reducing data nodes is not possible, but you can add up to 10 at a time.
    6. Click the [OK] button.
    7. When the add data node pop-up window appears, click the [OK] button.
      • The status of the server and cluster is displayed as Changing, and when the addition is completed, it is displayed as Running.

    Access to Kibana

    When you create an Elasticsearch cluster, Kibana is automatically installed and runs on the manager node. You can access Kibana from the NAVER Cloud Platform console or web browser.

    Note
    • Before accessing Kibana, check your Kibana access ID and password.
      • You can check ID and set password in Cluster > Manage cluster > Reset Kibana access password menu.
    • For information on how to access Kibana from a web browser and how to use Kibana, see Use Kibana.

    The following describes how to access to Kibana from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the target cluster.
    4. Click the [Manage cluster] button and then click Access to Kibana.
    5. When the preparation pop-up window for accessing Kibana appears, click the [Go to Kibana] button.
    6. When the following window appears, enter Kibana access information and click the [Login] button.

      • Username: enter Kibana access ID
      • Password: enter Kibana access password
      • You can use sample data by clicking the [Try our sample data] button on the first screen that appears after logging in.

    Reset Kibana access password

    How to reset Kibana access password is as follows:

    Note
    • For more information about accessing Kibana, see Access to Kibana.
    • After resetting the access password, it may take several minutes before the changed password is reflected.
    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the target cluster.
    4. Click the [Manage cluster] button and then click Reset Kibana access password.
    5. When the admin password reset pop-up window for accessing Kibana appears, enter the password to be changed and enter the password again in Confirm password.
    6. Click the [OK] button.
    7. When the admin password reset pop-up window for accessing Kibana appears, click the [OK] button.

    Manage server access

    You can change the authentication key used for SSH access to the manager node server, or delete an authentication key that is not applied to the service.

    Note

    For more information about SSH connection, see Connect to manager node using SSH.

    Change authentication key for direct cluster access

    The following describes how to change the authentication key used for SSH connection to the manager node server.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the target cluster.
    4. Click the [Manage server access] button, and then click Change authentication key for direct cluster access.
      • You can also change the authentication key by clicking the [Shortcut] button of the authentication key in the cluster details.
    5. When the user confirmation pop-up window appears, enter the password for the NAVER Cloud Platform account and click the [OK] button.
    6. When the change authentication key pop-up window appears, click the [Send authentication email] button.
    7. When the send authentication email pop-up window appears, click the [OK] button.
    8. Enter the authentication message sent to the registered email address and click the [OK] button.
    9. Select the authentication key you have or create a new one.
      • Use the existing authentication key: select the authentication key to use
      • Create a new authentication key: enter the name of the authentication key and click the [Create and save authentication key] button to save the authentication key in your local PC
    10. Click the [Change authentication key] button.
    11. Click the [OK] button.
    Note

    It may take several minutes for the change of cluster direct access authentication key to be reflected.

    Manage authentication keys

    You can check and delete the authentication keys you have.

    Note

    You can delete only the authentication keys that are not applied to the service.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select any cluster.
    4. Click the [Manage server access] button and then click the Manage authentication keys.
      • You can also change the authentication key by clicking i-ses-view of the authentication key in the cluster details.
    5. Check the authentication key you have in the Manage authentication keys pop-up window or click the [Delete] button in the Settings to delete the authentication key.
    6. Click the [OK] button.
      • It is not deleted if you do not click the [OK] button.

    Restart cluster

    The following shows how to restart clusters.

    Note
    • You cannot access the cluster during a restart.
    • After completing the cluster restart procedure, it may take several to several tens of minutes before the actual restart occurs.
    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the cluster to restart and then click the [Restart cluster] button.
    4. When the restart cluster pop-up window appears, check the cluster and click the [OK] button.
    5. When the restart cluster pop-up window appears, click the [OK] button.

    Delete cluster

    The following describes how to delete a created cluster.

    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service menus, in that order.
    2. Click the Cluster menu.
    3. Select the cluster to delete, and then click the [Delete] button.
    4. When the delete cluster pop-up window appears, check the cluster to be deleted and click the [Yes] button.
      • When the deletion is complete, the cluster disappears from the list.
