In the Cluster menu, you can manage Search Engine clusters and add data nodes. The menu allows you to access Kibana or change the Kibana access password. Additionally, manage and change SSH access authentication keys as needed.
Cluster interface
The Cluster menu for using the Search Engine Service includes the following:

Create cluster
As of July 21, 2022, you cannot create new clusters in the Classic environment. To create a cluster, use the VPC environment (see Create cluster (VPC)).
Check cluster information
To view the cluster details:
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Click on the target cluster to check the information.
- Cluster name: Name of the cluster.
- Data node type, Manager node type: Server type for each node.
- Number of nodes: Number of nodes included in the cluster.
- Server status: Status of the node server.
- Cluster status: Status of the cluster (see Cluster status)
- Elasticsearch version/Version: Version of Elasticsearch installed in the cluster.
- Zone: Zone where the cluster is deployed.
- OS version: OS version installed on the node server.
- Creation date and time: Date and time the cluster was created.
- Manger node public IP: Public IP address for external access to the manager node
- Data node storage capacity: Total storage capacity of the data node.
- Connect to manager node via SSH: Click [Connection Guide] to check the SSH access method to the managed node server. For more information, see Connect to manager node via SSH.
- Manager node ACG, Data node ACG: ACGs configured for each node.
: Go to the ACG menu where you can set ACG rules- [View rules]: Check the rules configured in the ACG.
- Elasticsearch Port: HTTP port for Elasticsearch.
- Kibana Port: Port for accessing Kibana.
- Cluster node list: Click [View details] to view the list of nodes included in the cluster and their details.
- Authentication key: Authentication key for connecting to the manager node via SSH.

Manage cluster
You can add data nodes to the cluster. You can change the Kibana access password and sign in to Kibana.
Add a data node
To add data nodes to the created cluster:
- During data node addition, cluster access is blocked for Elasticsearch installation and restart.
- After completing the data node addition, the actual reflection may take several minutes to tens of minutes.
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select a target cluster.
- Click the [Manage Cluster], then click Add Data Node.
- When the popup window for adding data nodes appears, click

to set the number of data nodes to add.
- You cannot reduce data node, and you can add up to 10 at a time.
- Click [OK].
- When the Add a data node popup window appears, click the [OK].
- The status of the server and cluster is displayed as Changing, and when the addition is complete, it is displayed as Running.
Access Kibana
When you create an Elasticsearch cluster, Kibana is installed on the manager node and starts automatically. You can access Kibana either from the NAVER Cloud Platform console or through a web browser.
- Before accessing Kibana, check your Kibana access ID and password.
- You can view your ID and set the password in Cluster > Manage cluster > Reset Kibana access password.

To access Kibana from the NAVER Cloud Platform console:
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select a target cluster.
- Click [Manage cluster] and then Access Kibana.
- In the Preliminary tasks popup for accessing Kibana, click [Go to Kibana].
- In the following screen, enter the Kibana access information and click [Log in].
- Username: Enter the Kibana access ID.
- Password: Enter the Kibana access password.
- In the first interface after login, click [Try our sample data] to use the sample data.
Reset Kibana access password
To reset your Kibana access password:
- For more information on Kibana, see Access Kibana.
- After initializing the access password, the actual reflection may take several minutes for the changed password.
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select a target cluster.
- Click [Manage cluster], and then click Reset Kibana access password.
- In the Kibana access admin password reset popup, enter the new password and enter it once more in the Confirm Password.
- Click [OK].
- In the Kibana access admin password reset popup, click [OK].
Manage server access
You can change the authentication key for SSH access to manager node servers or delete any authentication keys not applied to the service.

Change authentication key for direct cluster access
To change the authentication key used for SSH access to a manager node server:
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select a target cluster.
- Click the [Server Access Management], then click Change authentication key for direct cluster access.
- You can also change the authentication key by clicking the [Shortcut] of the authentication key item in the cluster details.
- In the User confirmation popup, enter the password for your NAVER Cloud Platform account and click [OK].
- In the Change authentication key popup window, click [Send authentication mail].
- In the Send confirmation mail popup, click [OK].
- Enter the verification message sent to your registered email address and click [OK].
- Select an existing authentication key or create a new one.
- Use existing authentication key: Select the authentication key to use.
- Create new authentication key Enter the name of the authentication key and click [Create and save authentication key] to save the authentication key to your local PC.
- Click [Edit authentication key].
- Click [OK].
The actual reflection may take several minutes after the cluster direct access authentication key change is completed.
Manage authentication key
You can check and delete the authentication key you have.
You can delete only authentication keys that are not applied to the service.
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select any cluster.
- Click [Manage Server Access], then click Manage Authentication Key.
- You can also manage the authentication key by clicking
in the Authentication key item in the cluster details.
- You can also manage the authentication key by clicking
- Check the authentication key you have in the authentication key management popup window, or click [Delete] in the Setting item to delete the authentication key.
- Click [OK].
- If you do not click [OK], the authentication key is not deleted.
Restart cluster
To restart a cluster:
- You cannot access the cluster while the restart is in progress.
- After completing the cluster restart procedure, the actual restart may take several minutes to tens of minutes.
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select the cluster to restart, then click [Restart cluster].
- When the Restart cluster popup window appears, check the cluster and click the [OK].
- When the Restart cluster popup window appears, click the [OK].
Delete cluster
To delete a cluster created:
- In the Classic environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > Big Data & Analytics > Search Engine Service. - Click the Cluster menu.
- Select the cluster to delete, then click [Delete].
- When the Delete cluster popup window appears, check the cluster to be deleted and click the [Yes].
- When deletion is complete, the cluster disappears from the list.
