Once you've reviewed the VOD Station supported environments, specifications, quickstart, and glossary, you're ready to start using the service. Your first step is subscribing to VOD Station. You can manage subscriptions for VOD Station from the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

Subscribe to the service

To subscribe to VOD Station:

  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top right of the console, click Region and Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, and then click [Apply].
  4. Click i_menu in the top left corner of the console interface.
  5. Navigate to Services > Media > VOD Station.
  6. Click [Subscribe].

  • To create a category for media transcoding, click [Go to create category] in the notification popup. For more information, see Create category.
  • Click [Subscribe] from Services > Media > VOD Station in the NAVER Cloud Platform portal to go directly to the interface in Step 3.

Upload media file

Diverse media files to be used for transcoding in VOD Station must be stored in the Object Storage bucket. For more information about how to upload files in Object Storage, see the Object Storage user guide.

Unsubscribe from the service

You can unsubscribe from VOD Station from the NAVER Cloud Platform console. You can unsubscribe from the service at any time, but be mindful of the billing unit when doing so.
To cancel your VOD Station subscription:

  • If any categories or channels have been created, the service cannot be canceled. Delete all categories and channels first.
  • Even if the service is canceled, the encoded data is not deleted.
  1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. In the top right of the console, click Region and Platform.
  3. Select your region and platform, and then click [Apply].
  4. Click i_menu in the top left corner of the console interface.
  5. Navigate to Services > Media > VOD Station.
  6. Click the Subscription menu.
  7. Click [Subscribed], then select Unsubscribe.
  8. In the notification popup, review the details and click [Unsubscribe] to confirm.
