    Getting started with VOD Station

    If you have checked the supported environments and required specifications for VOD Station and duly noted all scenarios and terms, then you are now ready to start using VOD Station. The first thing to do is to request subscription for the VOD Station service. You can request subscription to VOD Station and manage your subscription in NAVER Cloud Platform's console.

    The following summarizes what you can learn from the starter guide.

    Request subscription to service

    The following describes how to request subscription to VOD Station.

    1. Access the console in NAVER Cloud Platform.
    2. Click the Services > Media > VOD Station menus in that order.
    3. Click the [Request subscription] button.
    Note
    • Click the [Go to Create category] button in the notification pop-up window to start creating a category for media transcoding. For more details, please refer to Create category.
    • Click the [Request subscription] button from NAVER Cloud Platform portal's Service > Media > VOD Station menus to directly go to the page in Step 3.

    Upload media files

    Various media files to be used for transcoding in VOD Station should be saved in a bucket in Object Storage. For how to upload files to Object Storage, please refer to the Object Storage Guide.

    Note

    Refer to the Service specifications for file specifications supported in VOD Station.


    Cancel service

    You can cancel the VOD Station subscription from the NAVER Cloud Platform console. You can cancel the subscription anytime you want, but please take note of the billing standard when canceling the service.
    The following describes how to cancel the service subscription.

    Note
    • The service can't be canceled if there are any categories or channels created. Please delete all categories and channels first.
    • The encoded data is not deleted, even if you cancel the service.
    1. From the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > Media > VOD Station menus in that order.
    2. Click the Subscription menu.
    3. Click the [Product in use] button, and then click Cancel subscription.
    4. Check the notification in the confirmation pop-up window, and then click the [Cancel] button.
