You might run into the following problems when using VPC. Find out causes and possible solutions.

Integration with other region VPC or other account VPC

I am trying to create Transit VPC Connect to connect to VPC in another region or account, but it's not working.

Cause

You can't integrate VPCs in other regions.

Solution

You can't integrate VPCs in other regions but can integrate with other account VPC in the same region. See Transit VPC Connect.

VPC Peering cannot be done between public and private VPCs

VPC Peering to integrate public and private VPCs is impossible.

Cause

Cross-platform VPC Peering is not supported.

Solution

Cross-platform VPC Peering is not supported. For cross-platform integration, use an IPsec VPN. For more information, see Private Subnet Create for Public Subnet and On-premise connections and IPsec VPN guide.

Server images cannot be created when building your company's security solution

I tried to deploy your security solution on Transit VPC, which is identified as a new service for building secure VPC, but the [Next] button is not enabled after selecting the server image.

Cause

All NICs must be registered.

Solution

Please register both NICs.
