Available in Classic and VPC

Object describes how to create object through VOT processing in a video uploaded after being taken on a mobile device. How to create objects consists of the following 4 stages:

  1. Upload after taking a video of the object on the ARC eye Scan app
  2. View the uploaded video on the NAVER Cloud Platform console's ARC eye
  3. Create an object through tagging in a video
  4. Deploy location information for created object via API

Object screen

The Object screen is laid out as follows:

Field Description
① Menu name Name of the menu currently being viewed
② Basic features The features displayed when you first enter the Object menu.
  • [Features and pricing information]: Click to go to the ARC eye service overview page.
  • [Refresh]: Reload the current page.
③ Select project Select the project you want to create and manage an object in an uploaded video.
④ Post-upload features The features displayed after uploading a video, which get activated upon selecting a project.
⑤ Search bar Can search by entering the object name and the upload start date or the object creation completion date.
⑥ Object list List of objects (See View object list.)

View object list

You can view the object list and information. To view the information:

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Object Tracking > Object .
  3. View the object information from the object list.
    • Object ID: The ID automatically generated upon creating an object
    • Object thumbnail: Images to identify the videos uploaded
    • Object name: Unique name of the object in a project
      • [Edit]: Click to edit the name of the project. (See Edit project.)
    • Upload start date and time (UTC+09:00): Date when you upload the video on the console with the ARC eye Scan app
    • Object creation completion date (UTC+09:00): Date when you create the object in an uploaded video
    • Task: The step 2 action for object creation completion in an uploaded video
      • [Tagging]: Click to set an object in a video.
      • [3D Viewer]: Click to view objects with 3D reconstruction completed after tagging in a video.
    • Status: The progress status of object creation in an uploaded video
      • Upload failed: Video upload failed
      • Under data preparation: Under preparation for tagging (object creation task) in a video
      • Data preparation failed: Preparing data for tagging in a video failed
      • Waiting for tagging: The status in which tagging is available in a video
      • Object creating: Creating an object in a video
      • Object creation completed: Object creation completed in a video
        • Can view the object creation results in 3D Viewer
        • Can download PCD files, the object creation results
        • Can overwrite with a new creation result after tagging again
      • Object creation failed: Object creation in a video failed
        • Can proceed with tagging again
    • Download: Save the final PCD file with tagging completed in a local environment

Create object

You can create objects in the video you uploaded. To create a build project:

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Object Tracking > Object .
  3. View the status of the video where you want to create an object in the list of uploaded videos.
    • Normal: Data under preparation → Pending tagging
    • Abnormal: Upload failed, data preparation failed
  4. Once the status of the video is changed to Pending tagging, click [Tagging] to proceed with the tagging task that designates the object area in a video.
  5. When the Tagging popup window appears, select the area you want to designate as an object in the bitmap output.
    • See ATM > Shortcut Description in the Tagging pop-up window.
  6. Click [Save] .
  7. View the status of the video with tagging completed in the list.
    • Normal: Object being created → Object creation completed
    • Abnormal: Object creation failed
  8. Once the status of the video is changed to Object creation completed, click [Download PCD] .
    • The PCD files smaller than 1 MB are downloaded in the local environment.
Note
  • It may take up to 2 hours for the status to turn from Data preparation to Waiting for tagging.
  • If failed, take the following actions: For more information, see Troubleshooting ARC eye.
    • Upload failed, data preparation failed: Delete the uploaded video and upload the video on the app again or retake a video to upload it again
    • Object creation failed: Click [Tagging] to proceed with the tagging task again.
  • After the object creation is completed, you can proceed with tagging again by clicking [Tagging] . However, the existing object overwrites new object data.

Edit object

When the uploaded video is under data preparation or waiting for tagging, you can edit the name of the object. However, even if you change the object name on the console, the object name is not integrated with the file name saved on the ARC eye Scan app. To edit the object name:

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Object Tracking > Object .
  3. Click [Edit] in the target object you want to edit from the object list.
  4. Once the Edit window appears, edit the object name in New name and click [Save] .
    • Enter up to 36 characters using English lowercase letters, Korean, numbers, and special characters (-)
    • To cancel editing, click [Cancel] .

Delete an object

You can delete the created objects. To delete it:

Caution

The deleted data cannot be recovered. Please decide carefully.

Note

You can't delete the object with API being deployed or completed deployment. To delete object, stop all API deployments of the object in the API menu and try again.

  1. Navigate to i_menu > Services > Digital Twin > ARC eye in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Navigate to Visual Object Tracking > Object .
  3. Click the project you want to delete and click [Delete project] .
  4. Once the Delete object pop-up window appears, click [Delete] .
