This guide describes how to get started with Cloud Insight once you've identified Cloud Insight requirements and familiarized yourself with its quickstart overviewand glossary.

This guide covers the following topics:

• Subscribe to monitoring for a service
• Request detailed server monitoring (VPC)
• Subscribe to Cloud Insight
• Unsubscribe from Cloud Insight

If you have signed up for a subscription, you are now ready to use Cloud Insight. You can also do the following to make your Cloud Insight operations more efficient in the future:

• Set trigger actions using NAVER Cloud Platform's Cloud Functions
• Manage operations with Sub Account on NAVER Cloud Platform

The above actions can be performed after signing up for Cloud Functions and Sub Account, not Cloud Insight, and are not covered in detail in this guide. For more information, see the Cloud Functions user guideand the Sub Account user guide.

Subscribe to monitoring for a service

Select a NAVER Cloud Platform service that provides performance metrics and sign up for monitoring.
For instructions on how to sign up for a service that supports monitoring, refer to that service's corresponding guide.

Request detailed server monitoring (VPC)

To collect Extended Metrics on a server with Cloud Insight in a VPC environment, you must sign up for detailed monitoring.

Here's how to sign up for detailed monitoring of your server.

1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
2. Click Region and Platform in the top right corner of the console interface.
3. After selecting your region and platform, click [Apply].
4. Click in the upper left corner of the console interface.
5. Go to Services > Compute > Server.
6. Click Server.
7. Select a server for detailed monitoring, then click [Manage Servers and Settings].
8. Click Change Detailed Monitoring Settings.
9. Check the details in the enable detailed monitoring popup window, then click [OK].

Subscribe to Cloud Insight

To sign up for Cloud Insight, follow the steps below:

1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
2. Click Region and Platform in the top right corner of the console interface.
3. After selecting your region and platform, click [Apply].
4. Click in the upper left corner of the console interface.
5. Go to Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (Monitoring).
6. Click the Subscription menu.
7. Click the [Subscribe] button.
8. After reviewing the information in the service subscription popup, click the [OK] button.

Unsubscribe from Cloud Insight

To unsubscribe from Cloud Insight, follow the steps below:

1. Access the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
2. Click Region and Platform in the top right corner of the console interface.
3. After selecting your region and platform, click [Apply].
4. Click in the upper left corner of the console interface.
5. Go to Services > Management & Governance > Cloud Insight (Monitoring).
6. Click the Subscription menu.
7. Click [Subscribed], then select Unsubscribe.
8. Check the details in the cancellation popup window, then click the [OK] button.
