You might run into the following problems when using Image Optimizer. Find out causes and possible solutions.
Unable to delete Edge
I’d like to delete the Global Edge created through the Image Optimizer service, but I cannot find the delete button.
Cause
You can delete an Edge after pausing it.
Solution
See Delete Edge to delete the Edge.
Certificate renewal error
The certificate is not being renewed.
Cause
If the Image Optimizer service is integrated with the CDN+ service, certificate renewal may fail. Since CDN+ service support will be discontinued, it needs to be integrated with the Global Edge service.
Solution
To integrate with the Global Edge service, follow these steps:
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Media > Image Optimizer in order. - Click the [Create project] button.
- Select Create new in the CDN settings section.
- If there is no profile, click
in Global Edge to create a profile. - On the Project creation screen of Image Optimizer, select the Global Edge profile, and select Service Domain > Use Customer Domain.
- See Create Project to create a project.
- If you need the HTTPS service protocol, change the settings in the Global Edge service.
- Do not change the origin settings, as editing the origin domain may cause errors when calling thumbnails.
- In the case of Global Edge, the thumbnail URL includes the Image Optimizer projectId.
Different images displayed based on image size
Different images are displayed depending on the image size.
Cause
This error may occur if cached images remain in the CDN.
Solution
To delete the cache, follow these steps:
- On the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click
> Services > Media > Image Optimizer in order. - In the Project Management menu, select the Project for which you want to delete the cache, and click the [Delete cashed image] button.
Unable to set CDN URL created in HTTP mode as original image
The CDN URL created in HTTP mode cannot be set as the original image.
Cause
An error occurs if the CDN URL created in HTTP mode is a CDN+ service URL.
Solution
Since CDN+ service support will be discontinued, apply the URL created with Global Edge CDN.
If using an external domain URL, select Use Existing CDN > Use Customer Domain in the project creation screen, and register the URL.
