Available in Classic and VPC

In viewing statistics, you can view various indicators related to player viewing, such as real-time viewer count, playback success count, playback time, session logs for viewers and analyze viewing statistics by content.

The following shows how to view the indicators related to viewing statistics:

  1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and the Platform menu on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
  2. Click Services > Media > Video Player Enhancement.
  3. Click the Media Analytics menu.
  4. Click the [Go to MEDIA ANALYTICS] button at the top of the screen.
  5. Log in with Admin account ID and password.
  6. Click the Viewing Statistics menu, then select and click the submenu to check.

Real-time viewer count

You can view the number of current viewers watching players.

The following are detailed collection criteria on indicators:

Item Description
Collection target Number of sessions in which the player event is currently occurring, measured every minute
Aggregation criteria
  • If a user is watching multiple videos, each video is counted separately.
  • However, user sessions with no playback for 3 minutes without player events are considered as abandoned, so they are excluded from the count.

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: you can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the screen.
    • User customization: you can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.
    • Reset: click Reset Filters to remove all applied filters.
  • Graph expansion: a certain area to drag within the graph becomes enlarged. To return the graph to its initial state, click the [Reset] button.
  • Save collected data: you can review individually collected data based on criteria in the list at the bottom of the screen. To save the data locally, click i-vpe_download.

Playback success count

You can view the number of successful playback by the viewers clicking the playback button.

The following are detailed collection criteria on indicators:

Item Description
Collection target Number of times the viewer successfully played by clicking the play button on the player
Aggregation criteria
  • If a user is successfully playing multiple videos, each successful playback is counted separately
  • If the user clicks the playback button but fails to play, it is excluded from the count
  • If the user replays after completing the viewing, it is excluded from the count

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: you can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the screen.
    • User customization: you can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.
    • Reset: click Reset Filters to remove all applied filters.
  • Graph expansion: a certain area to drag within the graph becomes enlarged. To return the graph to its initial state, click the [Reset] button.
  • Save collected data: you can review individually collected data based on criteria in the list at the bottom of the screen. To save the data locally, click i-vpe_download.

Total playback count

You can view the total number of play button clicks of viewers.

The following are detailed collection criteria on indicators:

Collection target Number of times the viewer has clicked the play button to attempt playback
Aggregation criteria
  • If a user attempts to play multiple videos, each playback attempt is counted separately
  • The count also includes auto-play players
  • Attempts to move to the previous or next track are included in the count
  • Replays after completing viewing are excluded from the count

  • Filter: you can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the screen.
    • User customization: you can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.
    • Reset: click Reset Filters to remove all applied filters.
  • Graph
    • Expansion: a certain area to drag within the graph becomes enlarged. To return the graph to its initial state, click the [Reset] button.
    • Category Adjustment: click the category in the top-left corner of the graph to include or exclude it from the graph.
  • Save collected data: you can review individually collected data based on criteria in the list at the bottom of the screen. To save the data locally, click i-vpe_download.

Total playback time

You can view the time of video playback by a player.

Note

Total playback time is estimated data that doesn’t guarantee precise measurement. Please use it as a reference only.

The following are detailed collection criteria on indicators:

Collection target Time the video was played by the player, measured every minute
Collection error If you leave a player while watching and can’t receive a normal termination report, occur an error of up to 1 minute per playback
Session log playing

    • User customization: you can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.

Unique user

You can view your unique number through the number of IP addresses using a player.

Aggregation criteria When multiple videos, players, or domains are used redundantly with a single IP address, ignore the redundancy and aggregate only once.

Domain call count

You can view number of times the domain where the player is installed was called.

  • If the same user calls or call the same domain several times are counted separately..

You can view your session log to call the player.

Content analysis

You can view automatically analyzed data based on viewing statistics by content.

Usage
  • How often a content has been played and how long you have watched are used to evaluate the performance and popularity of the content.
  • As it helps content providers to understand user interests, it can be used for content optimization

The following are the features available for viewing indicators:

  • Filter: you can selectively view desired data using the filters at the top of the screen.
    • User customization: you can save the configured filter values as a custom filter. With the filter set as you desire, click Filter > [Save current filter selection value], enter a name, and save it.
    • Reset: click Reset Filters to remove all applied filters.
  • Collect data
    • Search: you can sort the desired data by searching based on the content title or URL.
    • Save: to save the data in the list locally, click i-vpe_download.
