This section describes how to register and manage Papago Translation as an application using the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
APIs interface
To access the APIs menu, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation > APIs in the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
The APIs interface includes the following components:

Review the application list
In the Application tree,you can view the APIs management list and detailed information about the application. To view:
If you have one or more active applications, the Application tree and APIs management list are displayed. If no applications are registered and active, Application tree and APIs management list do not appear on the APIs interface.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - Click the application you want in the Application tree to view the details.
- APIs: APIs type
- Daily usage: Usage and usage rate compared to the configured daily usage limit
- Monthly usage: Usage and usage rate compared to the configured monthly usage limit
- Registered date and time: The date and time the application was registered
Review application credentials
This section describes how to view the Client ID and Client Secret required to use the Papago Translation API. To view:
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - In the Application tree, click the application whose credentials you want to view.
- Click [Credentials].
- When the credentials popup appears, check the Client ID and Client Secret.
- Click
to copy Client ID and Client Secret. - Click [Reissue] to change the Client Secret to a new value.

Register an application
You can register a new application. To register an application:
- If you register a Papago Translation application on or after August 18, 2022, you cannot register it in the AI·NAVER APIs menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- If you register a Papago Translation application on or after August 18, 2022, you cannot register the application in the AI·NAVER APIs menu of the NAVER Cloud Platform console.

- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - Click [Application registration].
- When the application registration interface appears, enter the application name.
- You can enter only uppercase and lowercase English letters, numbers, and hyphens (-).
- Select the check box for the APIs you want to use in the application.
- Review the information you entered, and then click [Register].
Edit an application
You can edit a registered application. To edit an application:
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - In the Application tree, select the application you want to edit, and then click [Edit].
- When the application edit interface appears, update the application information.
- Review the changes, and then click [Edit].
- If you do not want to apply the changes, click [Cancel].
Configure application limits
You can configure usage limits and notification settings for an application. To configure application limits:
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - In the Application tree, select the application for which you want to change the usage limits.
- From the APIs management list, select the APIs, and then click [Set limits and alerts].
- When the set limits and notification popup appears, click the [Set limits] and then configure the usage limits and alert settings.
- Monthly usage: Usage to date and remaining usage based on the monthly usage limit
- Daily usage: Usage to date and remaining usage based on the daily usage limit
- Monthly limit settings: Enter the monthly usage limit.
- The default limit is 30,000,000 characters.
- You can set the usage limit up to 1,000,000,000 characters.
- If you enable notifications, select the usage threshold that triggers alerts from the drop-down list.
- To disable notifications, clear the check box.
- Daily limit settings: Enter the daily usage limit.
- The default limit is 5,000,000 characters.
- You can set the usage limit up to 300,000,000 characters.
- If you enable notifications, select the usage threshold that triggers alerts from the drop-down list.
- To disable notifications, clear the check box.
- Click the [Notification recipients setting] tab,select the Contact name and notifications method, and then click [Add].
- Contact name: Select the recipient who receive notifications.
- If you want to add notification recipients from a specific group, select the group name from the drop-down list in the upper-right corner.
- To add a new notification recipient, click [Manage notification recipients].
- For details about adding notification recipients and managing recipient groups, see Notification Recipient user guide.
- Notification method: Select the delivery method for alerts.
- Mobile: Enter the mobile phone number of the notification recipient.
- email: Enter the email address of the notification recipient.
- Click [Delete] to remove an added notification recipient.
- Contact name: Select the recipient who receive notifications.
- Review the information you entered, and then click [Save].
- In the Set limits and alerts popup, click [Limit change history] tab to view up to 30 of the most recent changes.
Delete an application
You can delete a registered application. To delete an application:
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to
> Services > AI Services > Papago Translation. - In the Application tree, select the application you want to delete.
- Hover over
and then click Delete application. - When the application deletion popup appears, click [Delete].
