A method of registering Papago Translation as an application using the NAVER Cloud Platform console and managing thereof is described.
APIs page
To connect to the APIs menu, in the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the Services > AI Services > Papago Translation > APIs menus in that order.
The APIs page is laid out as follows.

View application list
In the Application tree, you may check API management list and application details. The following describes how to view the information.
You can see the Application tree and API management list if you have one or more applications in operation. The Application tree and the API management list may not be displayed in the APIs page, if you don't have a registered application in operation.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- View details by clicking a desired application in the Application tree.
- API: API type
- Daily usage: A ratio of daily usage limits to the used amount and usage
- Monthly usage: A ratio of monthly usage limits to the used amount and usage
- Date of registration: The date and time at which the application is registered
View application authentication information
You may view the Client ID and Client Secret value for using the API of Papago Translation. The following describes how to view the information.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- View details by clicking an application to view authentication information in the Application tree.
- Click the [Authentication information] button.
- When the Authentication information pop-up window appears, check the Client ID and Client Secret value.
- You may copy the Client ID and Client Secret value by clicking
.
- If you click the [Reissue] button, it changes to a new Client Secret value.
- You may copy the Client ID and Client Secret value by clicking
Register application
You may register a new application. The following describes how to register.
- When you register a Papago Translation application from August 18, 2022 and onwards, you may not register the application in the AI·NAVER API menu of the present NAVER Cloud Platform console.
- If you registered a Papago Translation application before August 18, 2022, you may view and modify the authentication information in the AI·NAVER API menu, the same as before.
- Please refer to Papago Translation notice for details.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- Click the [Register application] button.
- When the Application registration page appears, enter the name of application.
- Only English upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and the hyphen (-) are allowed.
- Mark the checkbox of API to be used in the application.
- Check the entered information, and then click the [Register] button.
Modify application
You may modify registered applications. The following describes how to modify them.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- Select an application to modify in the Application tree and click [Modify] button.
- When the application modification page appears, modify the application information.
- After checking the modified content, click the [Edit] button.
- To cancel editing, click the [Cancel] button.
Set application limits
You may set usage limits and notifications of the application. The following describes how to set.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- Select an application to change the usage limits in the Application tree.
- Select the API in the API management list and click the [Set limits and notifications] button.
- When the Set limits and notifications pop-up window appears, set the usage limits and notifications after clicking the [Set limits] tab.
- Monthly usage: The currently used amount and remaining usage in the monthly usage limits
- Daily usage: The currently used amount and remaining usage in the daily usage limits
- Set monthly limits: Enter the monthly usage limits
- The basic limits are 30,000,000 characters.
- You may set the usage limits up to 1,000,000,000 characters.
- If you set notifications, select the baseline usage to send the notifications in the drop-down menu.
- Click to deselect the checkbox if you do not want to set notifications.
- Set daily limits: Enter the daily usage limits
- The default limits are 5,000,000 characters.
- You may set the usage limits up to 300,000,000 characters.
- If you set notifications, select the baseline usage to send the notifications in the drop-down menu.
- Click to deselect the checkbox if you do not want to set notifications.
- Click the [Set notification recipient] tab and select Name of the person in charge and Notification method, and then click [Add] button.
- Name of the person in charge: Select the notification recipient to receive the notification
- If you want to add the notification recipient from a certain recipient group, click the name of group from the drop-down menu in the top right.
- To add a new notification recipient, click the [Manage notification recipient] button.
- For the details on adding the notification recipients and recipient groups, refer to the Notification Recipient Guide of Cloud Insight.
- Notification method: Select a means to receive notifications
- Mobile phone: Enter the mobile phone number of the recipient to receive notifications
- Email: Enter the email address of the recipient to receive notifications
- You may click the [Delete] button to delete an added notification recipient.
- Name of the person in charge: Select the notification recipient to receive the notification
- Check the entered information, and then click the [Save] button.
- You may view the history of recently made changes up to 30 by clicking the [Limit change history] tab in the Set limits and notification pop-up window.
Delete application
You may delete registered applications. The following describes how to delete it.
- In the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click Services > AI Services > Papago Translation menus, in that order.
- Select an application to delete in the Application tree.
- Mouse over the
, and then click Delete application.
- When the Delete application pop-up window appears, click the [Delete] button.
