    Server Image explains how to swiftly migrate existing data to a new server using a created server image.

    The advantages of using My server image are as follows:

    • You can operate systems with high stability.
    • You can have consistent operating systems, applications, and data because you can save all components and settings of the existing server.
    • If the server has issues, you can restore the previous server and quickly migrate data using the data backed up to My server image. Through this process, you can minimize the time required for resolving server failures.

    Create server using My server image

    You can use the My server image function to create an image of the server you're currently using to store the current state of the server. Then, you can easily create a new server using that saved My server image.

    Create My server image

    The following describes how to create an image of the server you're currently using.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Services > Compute > Server menus, in that order.
    3. Click the Server menu.
    4. From the server list, select the server to create the image from, and then click [Manage server and change settings] > Create My server image, in that order.
    5. Enter the server image name, and then click the [Next] button.
      • The server image name can't be duplicated for use.
    6. Check the details in the Create My server image pop-up window, and then click the [Create] button.
    7. Check the details in the creation pop-up window, and then click the [OK] button.
      • My server image is created. You can view the created My server image from the Server Image menu.

    Create server

    The following describes how to create a server using the created server images.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Services > Compute > Server menus, in that order.
    3. Click the Server Image menu.
    4. Click to select the server image created from Create My server image, and then click the [Create server] button.
    5. Depending on the usage environment, perform 2. Set server of the Create server guide and later steps to complete the server creation.

    Replicate My server image to VPC environment

    You can easily and rapidly create the server you have been using in VPC by replicating the My server image in Classic to VPC in NAVER Cloud Platform.

    Note

    The function for replicating My server image to VPC is only available in Classic of the Korea (KR) Region.

    The following describes how to replicate the My server image in the Classic environment to the VPC environment.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Services > Compute > Server menus, in that order.
    3. Click the Server Image menu.
    4. Click the server image to replicate to VPC from the server image list for selection, and then click the [Replicate to VPC] button.
    5. Enter the server image name in the Replicate to VPC pop-up window, and then click the [Create] button.
    6. Check the pop-up message and click the [OK] button.
      • My server image is replicated to the VPC environment.

    Replicate My server image to another Region

    You can easily and rapidly create the environment of server that has been used in another Region by replicating the My server image of the Region you have been using currently to another Region in NAVER Cloud Platform.

    Note

    The function for replicating My server image to another Region is only available in the Classic environment.

    The following describes how to replicate the created My server image to another Region.

    1. Click the environment you are using in the Region menu and Platform menu of NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Services > Compute > Server menus, in that order.
    3. Click the Server Image menu.
    4. Click to select the server image to replicate to another Region in the server image list, and then click the [Replicate to another Region] button.
    5. Select the Region to replicate the server image, and enter the server image name, then click the [Create] button.
      • My server image is replicated to the selected Region.
