Global Edge is a CDN service of NAVER Cloud Platform for accessing web and app contents rapidly, stably and safely between global users and applications. It provides a safe environment through the high availability, short waiting time, and large scale infrastructure regardless of the user's location.
Global Edge features
Global Edge offers these key features:
- Support various sources and backend: All endpoints of the HTTP-supported environment are supported, including external sources and various services provided by NAVER Cloud Platform.
- Rule-builder: Depending on the provided content type, you can control detailed cache rules, re-define headers, and redirect and rewrite URL.
- Support latest protocols and private certificates: Encrypted communication with the client is supported via HTTP/2 and TLSv1.3 and you can benefit from reduced network connection time and enhanced stability.
- Strong content authentication and access control: To allow access only to users authenticated with signed tokens, you can use security URLs based on Secure-Token or JSON Web Token, and control user access based on IP, GEO, and Referer header.
- Transfer optimization: For performance optimization during communication between the content source and the viewer, the latest compression algorithm, brotli, is provided and byte range is provided for optimization of transfer of a large volume of content.
- Open API: CI/CD with client systems is available through the open API.
