    Article Summary

    Available in Classic and VPC.

Observer is a feature that monitors status and property information of resources in NAVER Cloud Platform. You can define monitoring conditions for resources to inspect the detection status whenever resources are created and changed and notify the admin when detected. In Observer, you can create and manage observers and check the list of detected resources. Also, using the Cloud Activity Tracer logs, you can view the resource task logs and task details.

      • Description: Enter the description of the new Observer.
      • Monitoring Target’s Resource Type: Select the resource type of the monitoring target.
    5. Set the monitoring conditions: Set the status and property condition for the monitoring target.

      • The monitoring items you can set at Monitoring Target’s Resource Type for each selected resource type are the following:

    Change Observer

You can change monitoring conditions and action settings for created observers. The following describes how to change the observer settings.

    1. Click the Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager menu in order on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Observer menu.

    Note
    • When creating or changing an observer, an inspection for monitoring target resources is performed, but actions are not performed.
    • When creating an observer with the "Alarm only for changes that match the monitoring condition" option selected, an alarm is generated once for a resource created before the observer is changed, even if the status does not change. The observer's monitoring condition detects resource changes based on the observer's creation time, and in the case of resources prior to the observer's creation, the resource state is updated when the resource is changed, so the observer detects this and triggers an alarm.

    1. Click the Services > Management & Governance > Resource Manager menu in order on the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
    2. Click the Observer menu.
