NIMORO quickstart

Available in VPC

You can analyze data from data sources using the NIMORO service on NAVER Cloud Platform. While you can explore the service in detail with our Getting Started and Using NIMORO guides, we recommend starting with this quickstart overview to understand the complete workflow.

NIMORO management quickstart

Here’s the entire process for managing the NIMORO environment as a NIMORO administrator:

1. Set user permissions
2. Prepare integration service
3. Subscribe to NIMORO
4. Create service
5. Manage service
6. Delete service
7. Unsubscribe from NIMORO

1. Set user permissions

If multiple people will be managing NIMORO, you can assign different permissions to each user. Using NAVER Cloud Platform's Sub Account service, you can create admin and user roles with varying access levels. Setting up user permissions is optional—you can configure them at any time.

Operating and managing NIMORO with a main account may pose operational risks due to unintended changes to security settings. Therefore, it is recommended to assign administrator roles to a sub account and use the service through that account. However, the NIMORO service can be created only with a main account.

Note

Sub Account is a free service with no additional charges. For more information about Sub Account and pricing, see Services > Management & Governance > Sub Account on the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.

For detailed instructions, see:

2. Prepare integration service

Subscribe to NAVER Cloud Platform's services you want to use by integrating with NIMORO in advance. To analyze NAVER data, request access to Cloud Data Box. To analyze customer data, request access to Data Catalog and Object Storage.
For detailed instructions, see:

3. Subscribe to NIMORO

In the VPC environment on the NAVER Cloud Platform console, navigate to i_menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > NIMORO > Subscription to subscribe to NIMORO.
For detailed instructions, see:

4. Create service

Create a new NIMORO. The NIMORO service can be created either for NAVER data analysis or for customer data analysis, depending on the analysis target.
The NIMORO service can be created only with the main account.
For detailed instructions, see:

5. Manage service

Licenses can be added as needed during operation. To switch between NAVER data analysis and customer data analysis, delete the existing service and create a new service for the required analysis type.
For detailed instructions, see:

6. Delete service

You can delete a NIMORO service that you no longer need. You can also delete an existing NIMORO service to change the data analysis target.
For detailed instructions, see:

7. Unsubscribe from NIMORO

If you no longer use a NIMORO service, access the VPC environment in the NAVER Cloud Platform console and navigate to i_menu > Services > Big Data & Analytics > NIMORO > Subscription to unsubscribe.
For detailed instructions, see:

Data analysis quickstart

Here’s the entire process for data design, analysis content development, and service operations after accessing the NIMORO platform:

1. Access NIMORO platform
2. Verify service and data integration
3. Design data
4. Develop analysis content
5. Deploy
6. Set permissions
7. Analyze and query data
8. Monitor and operate service

1. Access NIMORO platform

Access the NIMORO platform using account credentials that allow platform access.
For detailed instructions, see:

2. Verify service and data integration

You can verify the connections and data of the Cloud Data Box and Data Catalog services integrated for data analysis.
For detailed instructions, see:

3. Design data

Use the NIMORO Studio menu (admin settings menu) to design data for analysis.
For detailed instructions, see:

4. Develop analysis content

Use the NIMORO Studio menu (admin settings) to query data and develop content for visualization.
For detailed instructions, see:

5. Deploy

Configure the menus in NIMORO Report and NIMORO Wizard, then connect your reports and wizards to design and deploy the metric service.

6. Set permissions

View and manage the list of users registered with the service. You can also define user permissions by creating Role Groups.
For detailed instructions, see:

7. Analyze and query data

After completing data design, content development, and permission settings, you can analyze and query data and content. Visualize data to quickly understand data distribution and flow, and review the results in reports. Additionally, use SQL queries for professional analysis, or analyze data through simple inputs without using SQL queries.
For detailed instructions, see:

8. Monitor and operate service

Monitor service usage and error statuses that occur during service operation.
