Available in VPC

You can easily test the quality of the search service using RAG service from NAVER Cloud Platform. You can see how to use it in detail in getting started with RAG and using RAG, but we recommend that you first go through the full scenario document. Reading the guide after learning the scenario document will allow you to use RAG more efficiently. Afterward, you can create a service from the NAVER Cloud Platform console, run model tests, and proceed with evaluation by creating an evaluation set.

Here's the entire process for using RAG service:

1. Set user permissions
2. Request subscription
3. Create service
4. API key management
5. Service model testing
6. Model evaluation

1. Set user permissions

If multiple people will be managing RAG service, you can assign different permissions to each user. Using NAVER Cloud Platform's Sub Account service, you can create admin and user roles with varying access levels.
Setting up user permissions is optional—you can configure them at any time.

Note

Sub Account is a free service with no additional charges. For more information on Sub Account and pricing, see Services > Management & Governance > Sub Account on the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.

For detailed instructions, see:

2. Request subscription

To use the RAG service, you must complete your subscription on the NAVER Cloud Platform console. These terms of service include provisions regarding the storage and use of data generated by the RAG service, the consignment of personal information, the company's obligations, and the customer's responsibilities. Be sure to review these terms before planning your service.

For detailed instructions, see:

3. Create service

To use the RAG service, you must first complete the subscription process and then create a service through the NAVER Cloud Platform console.
During the service creation process, integration with the CLOVA Studio service is required, and integration with the Object Storage product may also be necessary to load indexing data.

See the following guides:

Note

When accessing with a Sub Account, service creation may be restricted depending on the assigned permissions.

4. Issue and manage API key

The RAG service authenticates its validity through an API key issued within each created service. Since the RAG service API key can only be checked at the time of issuance, you must copy and manage it separately.

See the following guides:

Caution

The API key for the RAG service is a separate authentication key from the API authentication key generated in the NAVER Cloud Platform console under My Account > Manage account and security > Manage security > Manage access.

5. Service model testing

You can test your service by indexing data through NAVER Cloud Platform's Object Storage product or by integrating via API. By adjusting various option values, you can create a customized model and test the search functionality of your service model directly in the test section.

See the following guides:

6. Model evaluation

You can easily evaluate performance using the evaluation system based on the service test model created in step 5. Set options for evaluation, generate the evaluation set, and download the results for review.
