Maps FAQs
Before reading the user guide, quickly find answers to your questions in the FAQs. If you cannot find the answers you need in the FAQs, see the user guide for more information.
Q. What is the primary account for the Maps APIs?
A. See the NAVER Cloud Platform portal
Q. What is the free usage policy for the Maps APIs?
A. See the NAVER Cloud Platform portal
Q. How can I change the primary account for the Maps APIs?
A. See the NAVER Cloud Platform portal
Q. How can I check my primary account for the Maps APIs?
A. The account that first used the Maps APIs service is designated as the primary account, and only the primary account receives a free usage quota. For individual customers, only one account per phone number can be designated as the primary account. For business customers, only one account per business registration number can be designated as the primary account. Note that if your account is not the primary account, you will be charged for API calls. To check if the account currently logged into the console is the primary account, see View Maps primary account.
Q. I encountered a CORS error when calling the Maps APIs. What is the solution?
A. See the NAVER Cloud Platform portal
Q. My Maps API calls were working, but they have started to fail. What could be the reason?
A. In a service environment that restricts access by host domain (e.g., a closed network), you must register the Maps host in your firewall's allow list. If you have already registered the host, you must check for the latest Maps host information and update your firewall settings accordingly. For information regarding host changes, see the NAVER Cloud Platform portal.
Q. How do I access the developer forum for the Maps service?
A. The Maps service has a dedicated forum. To access it, navigate to Application Services > Maps > Application in the NAVER Cloud Platform console, click the [Developer guide] button, and then select the Go to Forum menu.
The developer forum is available only for select services on NAVER Cloud Platform. Check the forum for service news and to ask or find answers to your questions.
