Basic Security overview

Available in Classic and VPC

Basic Security is a free security service provided by default to support safe internet business for all users using NAVER Cloud Platform. You can request and use the service through the NAVER Cloud Platform Security Monitoring console. It is serviced under the name of Security Monitoring Basic in the Security Monitoring console.

Security services Basic Security offers (VPC)

Security services provided by Basic Security in the VPC environment are as follows.

• Intrusion Detection System (IDS): an intrusion detection service that detects malicious attacks attempted against the customer's service open to the outside

Security services Basic Security offers (Classic)

Security services provided by Basic Security in the Classic environment are as follows.

• Intrusion Detection System (IDS): an intrusion detection service that detects malicious attacks attempted against the customer's service open to the outside
• Anti-virus: a server anti-virus service that supports the stable operation of the customer's service by detecting, isolating, and deleting malware on servers operated by customer in real time (for Windows)

Q. How is the anti-virus pattern update cycle of Basic Security?
A. Anti-virus patterns are updated daily at 1 AM, and they are immediately applied to real-time monitoring.

Q. What is the penetration test and how can I use it?
A. It refers to performing actions similar to actual attacks to evaluate the security level of the customer's services and resources configured on NAVER Cloud Platform. However, the customer can't perform security evaluations for infrastructure of NAVER Cloud Platform or the NAVER Cloud Platform service itself.
