The Cost Explorer service provides optimized cost management features such as detailed cost breakdowns and budgeting tools. With Cost Explorer, you can analyze the cost of individual resources and create budgets for more efficient, systematic cost management.

Cost Explorer Features

Cost Explorer includes the following features:

  • Cost Visualizations and Custom Views: Easy-to-read charts to track your cost and usage trends, with filtering and grouping functions for detailed cost analysis.
  • Detailed Metering Information: Clearly organized billing details with usage and discount information for each resource.
  • Managing Budgets: Create, monitor, and manage each of your budgets with tools to set cycles, durations, amounts, and scope.
  • Notifications: Set alarms to track budget usage and send notifications when you've crossed predefined thresholds. Notifications help manage the risk of excessive spending and prevent budget overruns. (Notifications will be delivered the following day, not in real time.)
